Low tide at dusk in spring

A mid-spring evening on the coast of Maine at low tide. Black-backed gulls and laughing gulls descend on the mudflats to feed in the waning light. Two miles away, the roar of surf on the outer side of Bois Bubert Island. Five miles out to sea, the Petit Manan fog signal. A hundred yards inland, a vernal pool with spring peepers.
Perfect.
